5 THICK FAB WOMEN ALREADY MAKING MOVES IN 2013
2013 is already proving to be an amazing year for women with curves! Here’s a list of women greeting the New Year with a kick-butt, take charge attitude:
1. Kelly Osbourne: Kelly looked amazing at this month’s 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards! Kelly has found her niche on the red carpet as a fashion correspondent as well as in front of the camera as a TV host for Fashion Police on E! And as if that wasn’t enough, Ms. Osbourne was the cover girl on the December 2012 issue of Cosmopolitan Body. Go Kelly!
2. Oprah: She got Lance Armstrong to talk and her interview airing this month on OWN Network has been all the talk in the media ever since. Here’s to Oprah still making major waves after starting her own network!

CURVES IN ACTION: BEYONCE'S MOM HAS NEW LOOK & CLOTHING LINE

| From Clothing Line Miss Tina |
I saw the below recent appearance she made on the Today show and couldn't help but feel happy for Tina & her daughter who stopped by for a surprise visit. Just last year, Ms. Knowles was making news headlines for her divorce from husband Matthew Knowles after he fathered a child with another woman during their marriage. It is apparent Miss Tina has taken some time to focus on loving herself. She has a new, younger, softer, beautiful look and she looks great! Tina first stepped into the entertainment scene as the stylist for her daughter, Beyonce Knowles' then singing group Destiny's Child. She then started her upscale line House Of Dereon before beginning this new venture. I am always happy to see women going after the things they love in life and I am routing for the Knowles women!

EXERCISING MY WRITES ™
This year has completely flown by! It's already been about 5 months since I started this blog! As we get further into October, I'm gearing up to hit the studio full-time again for songwriting. At these times I spend so much time in the studio I lose track of the days...literally! I'll arrive at the studio at 6pm one night and won't emerge until daylight 20, 30 or 40-something hours later. Thank God the music industry is forever changing and when I'm not writing in the studio full-time I have the chance to focus on other projects.![]() |
Chel & Singer JoJo in the studio- LA 2009 |
Even with all the politics and BS of the music industry, I truly just have a passion and love for songwriting. It is one of those things in my life that just came natural. My mom says I was making up songs on the potty as a toddler and I wrote my 1st award winning song in the 3rd grade so I guess you could say I was born doing this? lol I pray God continues giving me a spirit of creativity and continues letting the ideas flow. I will keep you posted! :)
FABULOUS PICK OF THE WEEK: MIA TYLER

| Mia Tyler |
Hey! I'm going to start a thing where I pick a fabulous person each week to feature and see how it goes. This week I'm going with Mia Tyler because she has a No-Fear, In-Your-Face type of beauty and confidence that rocks! "I Try my hardest to teach people that being an individual and not conforming to what most people consider to be "normal" is the best way to live."-Mia Tyler
Mia is known for her work as a plus-size model and also as the daughter of Aerosmith lead singer, Steven Tyler and actress Cyrinda Foxe. She wrote a book called, "Creating Myself: How I Learned That Beauty Comes in All Shapes, Sizes, and Packages, Including Me". After nearly ten years in front of the camera, Mia got behind the camera to try her hand at photography. She displays her work as a photographer on her blog: http://miatyler.blogspot.com/.

MTV TJ GABI GREGG SPEAKS OUT ON RECENT BULLYING CASES
Many of you are aware of the recent and heartbreaking events that have taken place at Rutgers College regarding student Tyler Clementi. MTV TJ Gabi Gregg has made it her mission to bring awareness to the increasing suicide rate brought on by bullying (both in person & over the Internet). Her message to people struggling with life, "It Gets Better". She recently visited the Rutgers campus and posted this article on the MTV website.
My heart breaks for the many teens & young adults who are violated, taunted and teased into a feeling of hopelessness. We as human beings all reach points of discouragement and vulnerability in life, but it truly does get better. I for one have been through the awkward phases where I wasn't quite sure where I fit, and I can attest to the fact that things work out. Life is all about growing pains. We go through many uncomfortable and at times painful phases in life to get to the next level & reach our full strength and potential. It is important to allways remember that with time, ALL wounds heal & we eventually fall into the right place.
It is NEVER okay to contribute to someone's pain. It is NEVER okay to violate a person's privacy. It is NEVER okay for our actions to be based on hate.
Gabi posted the video below in which she shares her personal experiences and encourages everyone going through a difficult time in life that things will get better. "If you have been bullied or harassed and are contemplating suicide or need someone to speak to, MTV News has compiled this list of resources, including hotlines and testimonials offering hope for those who are feeling hopeless."-Gabi Gregg

CURVES IN ACTION: BEVERLY JOHNSON'S DAUGHTER (A PLUS-SIZE MODEL) MARRIES
KELLY OSBOURNE: "I WAS RIDICULED WAY MORE FOR MY WEIGHT THAN MY DRUG USE"
So, Kelly Osbourne no longer qualifies as thick, but I'm covering this because I thought it was an interesting statement about the way weight is viewed in Hollywood. This morning on Wendy Williams, a Size-0 Kelly Osbourne shared with the crowd that she took way more criticism in Hollywood for her weight than she ever did for her drug use. She proceeded to share that one of her more hurtful moments was when The Onion wrote a story about her boyfriend being in the hospital and named her rolling over on top of him as the cause. Kelly said she cried for days. She stated that in her overweight years, she was miserable being high and eating her feelings regularly. She said she did not lose her weight for the press, but for herself. After getting a start with her weight loss on Dancing With The Stars, she now does 30 minutes a day and trains with her personal trainer 3 days a week. For anyone trying to lose weight, her story is definitely inspiration that you can turn things around, although I personally would want to keep my curves and never want to take it as extreme as a size zero! Either way, I'm happy for Kelly that she has managed to turn her life and health around. She is now co-hosting Fashion Police on E! TVwith Joan Rivers.
