Plus size model Crystal Renn (who has modeled for designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Chanel and Torrid) has recently come out to the press regarding her disgust with published photos that were retouched to make her look thinner than she is.  The model has overcome  anorexia and exercise bulimia and feels the pictures go against the message she'd like to send to readers which is to feel confident and beautiful at the size they are.


In her interview with People Magazine she said, "You want to laugh because you know it’s not you, but then you realize everyone out there seeing these images thinks it is.  I was obviously upset and concerned. I don’t want some girl who’s recovering from anorexia to see the picture and think I don’t think that you can be any size and be beautiful."  Click here to read the full interview.

Ok ladies, so if you're anything like myself...you DREAD the infamous yet inevitable shopping trip for a good pair of jeans.  A normal trip for me includes trying on a few pair that cut off the circulation in my thighs, a few pair that show the world which pair of undies I chose for the day and of course a few pair that don't even go up past my butt because they were made for those who...shall we say, were not as "curvaceously" blessed!  lol

Allow me to introduce the Source Of Wisdom jeans by Torrid!  I KID YOU NOT I was in a complete state of shock, awe & amazement at the perfect, slimming fit of these jeans when I tried them on!  They are the bootcut pull-on style.  At first glance, I was extremely skeptical when I realized the zipper on the jeans just looked like a zipper and they were actually pull-on jeans.  I was almost certain this would be another pair of Jeans that would find their way into my drawer and stay there until Spring cleaning next year lol, but don' be fooled...these jeans are amazing!  I can guarantee I will be wearing these regularly.  They're a sexy fit and extremely comfy at the same time. These are truly my new favorite pair of jeans!

CURVES IN ACTION: Gabourey Sidibe's New Crush

In a recent interview with People Magazine Gabourey Sidibe revealed her not so minor crush on singer Trey Songz and with all due respect, we don't blame you Gabourey...he's pretty sexy!  She recalls her words from their first conversation being, "'Now that we go to the same events, you think I’m cool, right? Do you want to date? We could just get married!'".
