Plus-size model Crystal Renn does it again!  She  shares her fabulosity with the world via the Zac Posen runway in New York Fashion Week.

Renn told People Magazine, "I got to know [Zac] and to hear him talk about it he gets a woman.  He wants women to be able to fit [into] them and to be able to buy them.  They’re making the clothes for my size and everything.   This is how fashion should be.”

CURVES IN ACTION: 1ST EVER PLUS SIZE SHOW IN NY FASHION WEEK

We are sexy, we are driven, we are fabulous and finally...we have representation in New York Fashion Week!!!

Whether admitted or not, we've all run into that stunningly beautiful plus-size woman (in the store, on the train, at the club, etc.) who make us think to ourselves, "Wow she should/could be a model!"  According to Daily Mail, dozens of outfits from OneStopPlus.com will grace the New York Fashion Week (NYFW) runways Wednesday at Lincoln Center NY.  The store carries US sizes 12W-44W.  This will be the first time a plus-size runway has ever been included in NYFW.  With the average size of American women said to be size 14 US (NY Times Article March 1, 2009), the inclusion of plus-size women in New York Fashion Week is well past due and highly welcomed!

"This show is a collaborative effort to provide the extraordinary community of plus-size American women with the uncompromising style that they have always deserved but never received. It's about inclusion and fashion democracy: fashion risk-taking and empowerment. No more seeing what you can't have; this is a fashion party that invites and inspires everyone."-Zahir Babvani, VP of Design of OneStopPlus.com. (Marketwatch.com)

Super models walking the runways in next week's shows include Lizzie Miller and Toccara Jones.  Let's hope this show is a step in the new direction of celebrating beauty and style for what it is and removing size from the equation.<

I stumbled upon this recent article on plus size super model Crystal Renn.  Though she's graced some of the most notable runways and magazines, she still runs into the same dilemma of finding a good selection for plus size clothing in Hollywood.  Click here for Crystal Renn on finding a dress for the Emmy Awards.

CURVES IN ACTION: MODEL CRYSTAL RENN SPEAKS OUT ON RETOUCHED PHOTOS

Credit: Torrid
Plus size model Crystal Renn (who has modeled for designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Chanel and Torrid) has recently come out to the press regarding her disgust with published photos that were retouched to make her look thinner than she is.  The model has overcome  anorexia and exercise bulimia and feels the pictures go against the message she'd like to send to readers which is to feel confident and beautiful at the size they are.

In her interview with People Magazine she said, "You want to laugh because you know it’s not you, but then you realize everyone out there seeing these images thinks it is.  I was obviously upset and concerned. I don’t want some girl who’s recovering from anorexia to see the picture and think I don’t think that you can be any size and be beautiful."  Click here to read the full interview.
